The NFL’s Thanksgiving halftime shows are always under intense scrutiny, and Bebe Rexha’s at the Lions vs. Bills game was no different.
Rexha — a pop singer known for her 2013 hit “The Monster” — put together a rather interesting halftime show for her performance in Detroit.
However, the fans on hand at Ford Field wouldn’t know much about it. They weren’t really able to see it.

For some reason, the stage that Rexha was performing on was tucked away in the corner of the stadium. That made it impossible for fans to see it without looking at the Jumbotron.
That led to confusion among the fans, who ended up booing Rexha’s performance as a result.

NFL: we need this to be an amazing halftime show, we got you Bebe Rexha.
Lions: yes very good, put her in the corner of the main atrium so no one can see her. pic.twitter.com/kiiQAL3GwJ

It’s understandable that fans would feel this way given that the NFL had sold them a bill of goods that included a top-notch halftime show. But once again, the league had a bit of trouble meshing sports with entertainment in a harmonious manner.

That wasn’t the only strange element within Rexha’s brief performance. It opened with her standing on a stationary stage while a camera rotated around her.
This went on for quite some time, and viewers across the country poked fun at the dizzying opening.

After that, the camera work evened out, and NFL fans got to enjoy Rexha’s show from the comfort of their couches. That spawned several comments from savvy social media users that ranged from praise of the pop star’s performance to questions about it.

Certainly, Rexha’s show was not universally loved by those watching across the country.
But hey, at least they were able to see it easily.
