UFC: Conor McGregor makes a millionaire suit after selling Proper No. Twelve whiskeys for over $500 million

Conor McGregor has made millions and millions on dollars inside a ring thanks to his fighting ability but also for his showman skills, becoming the biggest name in mixed martial arts at one point, but his biggest payday came when he sold his Irish whiskey bran, Right No. Twelvefor over $500 million dollars.

Now Russian fighter Artem Lobovhis former friend and training partner is suing McGregor after he allegedly left him out of the business, despite assuring it was his idea to launch the brand and is asking to have 5% of the profits McGregor obtained from the sale.

Artem Lobov has claimed in the past to have rejected an Offer $840,000 British pounds by the Irish, this suit could grant him millions in pay if he gets a favorable outcome in court as he’s seeking to obtain 5% of McGregor’s earnings.

Artem Lobov’s legal team talked about the law suit

During an interview with the Irish Independent, Dermot McNamara, Artem Lobov’s attorney expressed that his client is a retired professional fighter with a master’s degree in Finance and Capital Markets from DCU.

He alleges that Lobov is the initial creator and co-founder of the concept to launch an Irish whiskey brand in that was associated with McGregor, therefore they’ve issued High Court proceedings on behalf of Lobov.

“As these matters are now before the court, we will not be making any further comment”, explained McNamara.

Conor McGregor will contest the lawsuit

Conor McGregor’s the legal team has said that Right No. Twelve Irish whiskey was created, developed, branded and tirelessly promoted by Conor McGregor.

Right No. Twelve whiskey was launched in 2018 and in their first year they had over $850 million dollars.

The first bottle ever produced was gifted to Russian president Vladimir Putin in 2018 at the World Cup Final in Moscowwith Lobov joining McGregor for the match.
