Stan Sport first rewards football fans with Australian streaming

UEFA’s Australian Football House, Stan Sport, is finishing its first season at the helm by introducing streaming first in the country.

Fans will now be able to watch UEFA Champions League and Europa League matches in 4K Ultra HD resolution live and on demand via supported devices.

“The addition of 4K Ultra HD streaming means that Australia’s best sports streaming service has become even better,” said Stan sporting director Ben Kimber.

“We are proud to be the first streaming service in Australia to offer 4K live sports and provide the best way for football fans to watch the game they love.

This season, Stan Sport replaced Optus Sport as the broadcaster of the UEFA competition in Australia after winning a blind auction for rights.

The arrival of the streaming service initially frustrated football fans as the rights to broadcast the sport were further fragmented.

Stan Sport, however, won over many viewers with its strong coverage led by Max Rushden, Mark Bosnic and Craig Foster.

Both the Champions League and the Europa League are in the quarter-finals, and the first matches are being played this week.

On Wednesday morning, both Liverpool and Manchester City beat Benfica and Atletico Madrid.

On Thursday, Villarreal will host Bayern Munich, while Chelsea will meet Real Madrid at Stamford Bridge, and both games will start at 5 am (AEST).

The apartment’s additional sports package is available for $ 10 per month and with free trial periods for new customers available here.
