Soccer Aid 2022: Teams, line-ups, date, kick-off time and TV channel

Soccer Aid returns for its 11th year next month with a whole host of famous faces taking part in the event. It’s the world’s largest celebrity-charity football match, raising money for UNICEF; an organization dedicated to improving the lives of young children.

The event was the brainchild of former Take That star Robbie Williams; with the first one taking place in 2006. Each year England take on a Soccer Aid World XI and the latest edition will take place at West Ham United’s London Stadium.

Tickets are still available, however, if you can’t make it down to Stratford the game will be shown live on ITV. UNICEF UK Ambassador Dermot O’Leary will reprise his role as the main presenter with Alex Scott also returning as pitch side reporter, Maya Jama will also be part of the punditry team.

When is it on TV?

Soccer Aid takes place on Sunday, June 12th.

It will be broadcast live on ITV with kick-off at 7.30pm, but coverage is likely to get underway around 6.30pm.

Who is playing?

Players this year include Usain Bolt, Liam Payne, Chunkz, Damian Lewis, Fara Williams, Mo Gilligan, Alex Brooker and Damian Lewis.

The line-up is further enhanced by a host of stars from the football world including Gary Neville, Jamie Carragher, Joe Cole, Patrice Evra and Mark Noble.

Harry Redknapp will take charge of England and David Seaman will also serve as goalkeeping coach. Meanwhile, legendary former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger will manage the World XI.

Can you still get tickets?

Yes, tickets are still available for the game at London Stadium and can be purchased on Soccer Aid’s official website.
