Orono, Maine – The University of Maine men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams have announced their schedules for the 2022-23 season. Both teams will be competing in eight meets together during the season, which includes the America East Championships. The women have two additional meetings.
The Black Bears will start the year on the road to Hanover, NH to compete against Dartmouth on Oct. 14.
The University of Maine will then have their first home meet of the season on Oct. 29 when they host Maine Maritime Academy.
The women will have the first meet of their own this season when they compete away against the University Vermont Catamounts on Nov. 5.
Both teams will then be back at home to host Holy Cross College on Nov. 12 for their last home contest of the season.
They will follow that meet up with a 3-day event, the University of Rhode Island Invitational, that will run from Nov. 18-20.
Both teams will make the return to their state of Maine for the Maine State Meet hosted by Colby College on Dec. 2 and 3.
After the holiday break, both teams will then travel for a one day event on Jan. 21 against Bowdoin.
The women will be competing in their second of two women only meets as they play host to the University of New Hampshire on Friday, Jan. 27.
The Black Bears will finish up their regular season when they travel to compete against the Providence College Friars on Jan. 28.
Concluding the 2022-23 season will be the America East Championships that will be hosted by Worcester Polytechnic Institute and take place from Feb. 22-25.
