Good morning Manchester United fans
Speculation continues to gather pace on who could launch a bid to take control of the club.
The Glazer family announced earlier this week that they would “explore strategic alternatives” for the club and United fans are now hoping that the controversial American family will sell up.
It was revealed last night that David Beckham was open to being part of a bid to take over the club.
British billionaire Jim Ratcliffe, who has already shown interest in the club, is reportedly getting ready to make a move.
Other rich money-men like Elon Musk have also been linked with a move for United.
Meanwhile, Cristiano Ronaldo is gearing up for his first World Cup game in Qatar as Portugal prepares to face Ghana later today.
It’s been far from a quiet week off the pitch for the 37-year-old who mutually agreed to tear up his contract on Tuesday.
The agreement came after Ronaldo gave an explosive interview to Piers Morgan where he lashed out at the club and how it was run.
He has been linked with moves to the likes of Sporting Lisbon and Newcastle.
The former Real Madrid man has also been slapped with a two game ban and a £60,000 punishment by the FA.
This was after Ronaldo knocked a phone out of a fan’s hand back in April.
