1.50pm: Concern around the bowlers run-up

Following the latest inspection, there are still a couple of areas around the bowlers run-up which are very wet.

The ground staff are working hard to dry this area and the umpires will take another look within the next hour.

12.45pm: Further inspection planned for 1.40pm

The umpires will take another look in just under an hour.

Conditions here continue to improve, however there are still a couple of wet areas of the outfield which are causing concern.

11.45am: Early lunch to be taken

Following that inspection, the umpires have called an early lunch as the outfield is still very wet.

They will take another look in an hour or so and hopefully we can bring you better news after that.

11.15am: The covers are off

The covers are off and conditions continue to improve.

The umpires are due back out there to take another look shortly.

10.40am: It’s looking much brighter

The sun has made an appearance as the covers begin to come off.

Players from both Lancashire and Cumbria are out there taking a look now.

10.20am: The rain has stopped

Following that heavy shower, the rain has stopped and the ground staff are now on the outfield to begin the mopping up process.

We will definitely have a delayed start but there are more positive signs that we could see some cricket later on today.

10.00am: The heavier rain has returned

It’s now coming down much heavier. The umpires have arrived, taken a quick look and returned to the Pavilion.

9.30am: Set for a delayed start in Sedbergh

Good morning from an extremely wet Sedbergh School. Following heavy overnight rain, we still have some light drizzle around.

However the outfield is wet with standing water in patches and it looks unlikely that we will be starting at the planned 11am.

In the event of the weather improving, today’s match will be streamed live on LancsTV.
