How Madison Hendershott keys Rock Bridge girls soccer’s attack

On a cold, rainy and dreary evening on May 4, Rock Bridge made life difficult for Hickman.

The Bruins won 2-0. Izzy Cole and Leah Jenne scored for Rock Bridge. It was the kind of game that junior Madison Hendershott had her fingerprints all over.

As Hickman took away Hendershott’s opportunities, she used that to her advantage.

“Every team has to focus on her and always know where she is,” Bruins coach Scott Wittenborn said. “It’s nice having a threat like that who can change the game at any moment.”

Hendershott has become a player no one can ignore.

She’s grown from being an all-Central Missouri Activities Conference first-team player and a Class 4 District 9 second-team selection as a sophomore to being a reason why Rock Bridge ended the regular season with a 16-5-1 record.
