Manchester United captain Harry Maguire faces being dropped for Monday night’s crunch clash with Liverpool.
The north west clash sees the Premier League rivals looking for their first wins of the season.
United have got off to the worst possible start under new boss Erik ten Haag and sit at the bottom of the league table, having yet to pick up a point.
His side, suffering a 2-1 defeat to Brighton at Old Trafford, which was then followed up with a 4-0 thrashing away to Brentford, leaving Ten Hague with serious questions to answer.
And talkSPORT’s Manchester correspondent, Micky Gray, says fans can expect big changes at Old Trafford on Monday.
“I have spoken to a couple of people, and that could be one of the big changes [against Liverpool],” he told the Sports Breakfast.
“I don’t think Harry Maguire is going to be in the starting XI, so it just depends if it is going to be new signing Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane. Manchester United have options.
“I don’t think it is down to the personnel [for Manchester United’s current form]I just think whatever XI Erik ten Haag picks, they have got to match Liverpool for effort.
“If they don’t, it could be another big score.”

United will be hoping to put on a better showing against their bitter rivals, having been on the end of heavy defeats against them last season.
Manchester United suffered a gut-wrenching 5-0 defeat at Old Trafford earlier in the campaign, and then a 4-0 at Anfield in October.
United will be aiming to avoid starting a top-flight season with three straight losses for the first time since 1986, but there will be added spice to the fiery fixture with protests expected.
