Oscars 2022: Boxing News: Floyd Mayweather made sure Will Smith stayed fine after the Hollywood actor infamously slapped Chris Rock at Oscars 2022. According to Will Smith, Floyd Mayweather called him for ten days straight after that incident and showered him with words of inspiration. Per TMZ’s reports, Smith said, “[Floyd and I] met each other, we’ve seen each other around, but we weren’t like, friends.”

He added, “And, the day after the Oscars, for 10 days, he called me every day. And he was like, ‘Hey, you know you’re the champ, right? You good? You know you’re the champion, right? I want you to hear my voice say it.”
“Every day he called me and it’s like, that’s my dude forever right there.”

Floyd Mayweather didn’t get very vocal about the incident, but remained in his countryman’s corner throughout.
